Part-Time French Position at Elon University
Elon University seeks a part-time visiting instructor of French for spring 2009. MA required, although grad students working towards the MA and currently teaching (TAing) are also eligible.
The details:
- two sections of second-semester French
- class meetings are MWF 8:00-9:10 and 9:25-10:35
- semester is February 2-May 15
- pay is approx. $8600
- solid enrollments and engaged, interested students
The French faculty freely shares teaching materials, ideas, strategies, and testing materials, so the visiting instructor will not have to create the course from whole cloth.
If desired, the visiting professor would be able to participate fully in the life of the department, including attending dept meetings and faculty meetings (just can't vote). This is by no means a requirement, but is an option.
